Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. has released the USA₮ Reserve Report as of August 31, 2026, prepared under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ “2025 Criteria for Stablecoin Reporting: Specific to Asset-Backed Fiat-Pegged Tokens.”
As of August 31, 2026, there were 175,731,350 redeemable USA₮ tokens in circulation, approximately 10 times the 17,501,391 reported at the end of January. Reserve assets totaled $176,391,828, exceeding the value of outstanding redeemable tokens by $660,478. Both circulation and reserve assets increased from July.
USA₮ is being built for businesses that need dollars to move beyond banking hours, whether they are settling payments, managing treasury funds, or building financial services into digital platforms. The August report gives those businesses a clear view of the reserves behind each redeemable token as USA₮ grows into those uses. For institutions considering how digital dollars fit into their operations, that visibility is important. USA₮ combines the speed and flexibility of onchain money with issuance through a federally chartered U.S. bank, bringing a familiar standard of oversight to new ways of moving dollars.
“The United States has an opportunity to lead the next generation of digital payments and reinforce the dollar’s dominance,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. “USA₮ was built to support that ambition, and this attestation reflects the discipline behind it – a fully backed digital dollar that people and businesses can use with confidence.”
“USA₮ has grown roughly tenfold since January, but we’re still at the beginning,” said Bo Hines, CEO of Tether USA₮. “The opportunity is to make digital dollars useful in the places businesses already move money, from payments to settlement. August’s figures show the foundation for that growth with reserve assets exceeding redeemable tokens outstanding at month-end.”
USA₮ continues to expand across payments, settlements, treasury operations, and digital platforms as demand grows for digital dollars issued through federally chartered U.S. banking infrastructure.
