30 March 2026 – Anchorage Digital Bank has released the USA₮ Reserve Report as of February 28, 2026, prepared under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) “2025 Criteria for Stablecoin Reporting: Specific to Asset-Backed Fiat-Pegged Tokens.”
As of 11:59:59 p.m. UTC on February 28, 2026, there were 19,001,496 USA₮ tokens outstanding, an increase of 1,500,105 tokens from January’s 17,501,391.
- Reserve assets totaled $19,146,639, up from $17,604,716 in January, an increase of $1,541,923 month-over-month.
- Reserves exceeded tokens outstanding by $145,143, compared to a $103,325 surplus in January, a 40% increase in overcollateralization in a single month.
The reserve assets consisted of U.S. dollar cash and reverse repurchase agreements collateralized solely by U.S. Treasury securities, held in segregated fiduciary trust accounts. All issued USA₮ tokens remain redeemable 1:1 in U.S. dollars, issued directly by Anchorage Digital Bank under the supervision of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
The February report reflects the direction the U.S. stablecoin market is taking, toward fully reserved assets, regular public disclosure, and federal oversight. As stablecoins are used more widely for payments and settlement, market participants are placing greater emphasis on transparency and regulatory clarity. USA₮ was designed with these principles in place from the beginning, with full reserve backing, monthly reporting, and issuance under OCC supervision.
Global stablecoin transaction volume now reaches into the trillions annually, and U.S.-regulated stablecoins are capturing a growing share of that activity as institutions and platforms prioritize regulatory clarity and counterparty certainty. Each monthly reserve report USA₮ publishes adds another data point to what is becoming the clearest record of compliant, transparent stablecoin issuance in the United States.
“The global appetite for U.S.-regulated digital dollars is real, and it is growing,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. “What we are building with USA₮ goes beyond a stablecoin; it is the infrastructure for the next generation of American financial leadership in the digital economy. USA₮ reflects a broader shift already underway, where stablecoins are becoming core financial infrastructure for payments, treasury operations, and global settlement. The opportunity for the U.S. to lead in this space is significant, and it will be defined by systems that are transparent, resilient, and accountable from day one.”
“The U.S. stablecoin market is consolidating around trust, and trust is built through consistent, verifiable disclosure,” said Bo Hines, CEO of Tether USA₮. “Two consecutive months of reserve reports, each showing reserves in excess of tokens outstanding, each prepared under the most rigorous reporting criteria available, is how you earn institutional confidence. USA₮ isn’t following the path toward compliant, federally regulated digital dollars. We’re laying it.”
“Each successive attestation is a step toward making tokenized dollars a permanent fixture of the financial system. What matters to institutions isn’t just innovation, it’s consistency, transparency, and the ability to operate within a clear regulatory framework. This report reflects a maturing standard for how stablecoins are managed and disclosed, reinforcing that digital dollars can meet the same expectations as traditional financial products while delivering the speed and flexibility of blockchain-based systems, “ said Nathan McCauley, Co-Founder and CEO of Anchorage Digital.
USA₮ continues to expand its ecosystem across payments, creator monetization, settlements, and treasury operations. For more information, please reference the USA₮ Reserve Report here.
